Over a Half Century of Service

McGrew Real Estate is a combination of Lawrence, KS real estate firms that stretch back to the 1930’s. McGrew Real Estate itself dates back to 1951 and today includes the former Lawrence Realty Associates (which was also formerly known as Calvin, Eddy & Kappelman Real Estate), and the Gill Agency. McGrew has seen Lawrence mature from the once sleepy college town to the vibrant community we have today. Throughout the previous eight decades we have established our company as the leader in real estate for Lawrence and all of Northeast Kansas.

Locally Owned / Independent Company

McGrew is one of the few remaining major real estate firms in Kansas that is both locally owned and independent (not part of a national franchise). Decisions are made locally and quickly.

A Highly Trained Staff

The McGrew Real Estate sales team leads the way in knowledge. In addition to the national and state classes (where they earn GRI, E-Pro, ABR, CRS, and other designations) our agents attend in-house classes on topics that not only include contracts and Home Staging, but can range from Lawrence history to Feng Shui.

Schools

At McGrew Real Estate we believe that firsthand knowledge of our local schools is important – so we visited them – every single one. We toured each of the facilities and met with the principals, teachers and students. We even ate the lunches! We don’t just claim to know more about Lawrence’s public and private schools, we put our time into it.
